Rather, it explores changes in the program as well as more advanced functionalities and how they can assist the professional user in enhancing efficiency or output.

Inside 3ds max 4 is organized into units that mirror and actually step through the workflow of a 3D project. Moreover, where differences exist in the application of techniques between the broadcast/film and game/interactive applications, the authors present careful analysis to assist readers in making the right choices for their technical work. 

About the Author 
 

Kim Lee is recognized as one of the top trainers for 3ds max. In his position as a leading Discreet Training Specialist, Kim travels the world introducing the technology to new users and expanding the skills of more experienced users. During his career, Kim has done work for such clients as Met Life, Hasbro, Nick at Nite, TV Land, Captain Crunch, IBM, and a variety of New York City production houses. Kim also teaches computer animation at Pratt Institute and is co-founder of the Metropolitan New York 3d studio max users group.

Writing sections specific to their area of expertise, authors were selected from such noted companies as ILM, Spontaneous Combustion, Blur, Curious Pictures, Ronin Games, N-Space, Autodesk, and Discreet.
